4 policemen were killed and another person in charge of guarding exam centers in the city of Tafas in the western countryside of Daraa was wounded, as a result of unidentified gunmen targeting a car carrying them with individual weapons near the Camel Roundabout on Muzayrib Road in the western countryside of Daraa, as they were returning after exams had finished, according to what he said. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

For its part, a Damascus government agency confirmed, quoting a source in the Daraa Police Command, that four members of the Internal Security Forces were killed and another seriously wounded in what it called an "armed ambush of terrorists" near the al-Jamal roundabout in the town of Muzayrib in the western countryside of Daraa.

It continued, "The terrorist ambush took place at around 7:30 am, while a police patrol was on its way from Daraa to Tafas to secure examination centers."

This comes at a time when Daraa is witnessing chaos and a sharp increase in the rate of targeting and assassination, most of which target members of the Damascus government forces and its security services in the region.

According to the Observatory’s statistics, since the beginning of this year, the number of attacks in Daraa has reached 254 security chaos incidents, all of which took place in different ways and methods, and resulted in the death of 197 people, most of whom were members of the Damascus government forces and citizens of the region.
