Martyr Sama Yuja recalled in Aleppo

Kongra Star held a meeting with the Martyrs' Families Council today, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the martyrdom of the fighter Sama Yuja, in the meeting room in the western section of Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo.

The meeting was attended by a group of women and members of political institutions and parties.

Kongra Star member, Zainab Afrin, delivered a speech in which she recalled all the freedom martyrs in the person of the martyr Sama Yuja.

Zainab stated: "The martyr Sama Yuja joined the Kurdistan Liberation Movement with a group of her comrades in 1991, and during her struggle she proved her courage and played a pioneering role, as she believed that the human will is stronger than all difficult circumstances." .

She added, "The fighter received her training from the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and she was a revolutionary personality, and ready to do everything just to reach freedom."

Zainab referred to the reason for the martyr Sama's body being set on fire, saying: "Sama Yoja set her body on fire inside Janak Qala prison, on the eve of Newroz in 1998 (March 21) and she was severely burnt to announce to the Turkish fascism that they were unable to break her will, and that she had become more beautifu after setting her body on fire of freedom.

At the end of her speech, Zainab emphasized walking in the footsteps of the martyr Sama Yujga, saying: "The fighter Sama rose to the rank of martyrdom on June 17, 1998, but she paved the way for many young men and women to complete the struggle, and we recall in her covenant."
