Belgian delegation meets representative of AANES to develop plans for future projects

The Autonomous Administration and a Belgian delegation agreed to develop plans and programs to support projects in NE Syria, and the need for coordination and cooperation between the universities and municipalities of Belgium and NE Syria.

A delegation from the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria met with a Belgian delegation that included representatives of municipal councils in Brussels, Lieg, Louvan and Herzel, representatives of civil society institutions, journalists and politicians, and the head of the Kurdish Institute in Belgium, Darwish Farho.

The Autonomous Administration delegation included the representative of the AANES in Europe, Abd al-Karim Omar, and the representative of the Autonomous Administration in the Benelux countries, Hozan Khalil.

The meeting was held at the headquarters of the AANES Coordination in Brussels, where the Autonomous Administration delegation highlighted the latest political, economic and humanitarian developments and challenges facing the Autonomous Administration, and put the Belgian delegation in the form of challenges in the face of ISIS mercenaries and the need for international powers to assume their responsibilities towards all these challenges.

During the meeting, they agreed to develop plans and programs to support projects in NE Syria related to health, environment, education, and drinking water, in addition to coordination and cooperation between the universities and municipalities of Belgium and NE Syria.
