Autonomous Administration’s representative meets mayor of Norwegian capital

Yesterday, the representative of the Autonomous Administration in Europe, Abdul Karim Omar, held a meeting with the Mayor of Oslo, Marianna Burgen.

 According to the official website of the Department of Foreign Relations of North and East Syria, the meeting took place in the mayor's office in the municipal building in Oslo, and Abdul Karim Omar gave an overview of the experience of the Autonomous Administration, its organizational chart, and the way it manages citizens' affairs in North and East Syria.

 The two sides discussed the most important challenges facing the Autonomous Administration in light of the long-term war in the country, which greatly affected all service sectors due to the great destruction of the infrastructure.

Abdul Karim confirmed that the towns of North and East Syria, despite their limited capabilities, are making great efforts to improve and develop the service sector, but there are major obstacles they face and prevent them from achieving the desired goals within a short period of time.

 The representative of the Autonomous Administration indicated the urgent need to work towards developing sustainable solutions, noting that achieving this matter requires support and cooperation to benefit from positive experiences in these fields, and to use them to develop various service sectors in NE Syria.

 In turn, the Mayor of Oslo, Marianna Burgen, expressed her understanding of the difficulties facing the Autonomous Administration in light of the ongoing war in the country and its disastrous consequences on all aspects and fields of security, economic, service, health and other aspects of life.

Mariana Burgen affirmed their readiness to communicate and cooperate on all service issues and challenges facing north and east Syria.

 At the end of the meeting, she also praised the efforts of the Autonomous Administration in the field of combating terrorism, and its continuous efforts to consolidate the pillars of security and stability, as well as its interest in developing the service sector and supporting environmental issues.
