Turkish police arrest 11 journalists

Before the Turkish presidential and parliamentary elections, which are only 19 days away from us, the Turkish police raided, this morning, many homes in 21 different cities in Bakur Kurdistan and Turkey.

During these raids, the Turkish police arrested "the editor at the Mesopotamia Agency; Abd al-Rahman Kok, the correspondents of the same agency; Ahmed Kanbal and Muhammad Shah Aruj, the director of written affairs at Yeni Yasham newspaper; Othman Akin, the concessionaire in the Khbun newspaper; Kadri Esen, and the editor at the agency." The assistant to the head of the Bar Association in Amed, Mehdi Ozdemir, had revealed that about 150 people had been arrested today, and that the arrests were continuing.
