Armed attack targets Damascus's military intelligence in Homs

Unidentified persons targeted the Military Intelligence detachment of the Damascus government in Homs, led to injury one of the members.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that "unidentified gunmen targeted, during the past few hours, the Military Intelligence detachment located in the city of Talbiseh near the Homs-Hama highway, in the northern countryside of Homs, with automatic weapons."

The targeting of the guards at the entrance of the detachment of the Damascus government forces resulted in the injury of one of the members, before the attackers fled north towards the city of Rastan.

Following the attack, the area witnessed alertness of the detachment and the "State Security" detachment, which is a short distance from the targeting site.

The city of Talbiseh, in the northern countryside of Homs is witnessing a state of security chaos represented by murders and robberies, in addition to kidnappings with the intent to demand ransom, in the absence of any role for the security authorities of the Damascus government to reduce the spread of these crimes.
