​​​​​​​AANES hands over 2 women and 13 children from ISIS families to Spain

According to the official website of the Department of Foreign Relations of North and East Syria, a delegation from the Spanish Foreign Ministry visited NE Syria, and met with the Department of Foreign Relations of AANES.

The visiting delegation was headed by the Counselor at the Spanish Foreign Ministry, Geermo Anguera, and met yesterday, with the deputy co-chair of the Department, Fener al-Kait, member of YPJ office, Lana Hussein, and the deputy in Women's Body, Hwaida Muhammad Salim Muhammad.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the political situation in Syria and the need to resolve the Syrian crisis in accordance with United Nations Resolution 2254, and the humanitarian, economic and security situation in the region.

The website quoted Al-Kait as saying that the Autonomous Administration adopts the Syrian national dialogue as a basis for achieving stability and political solution in the interest of all Syrians and preserving its unity, with the assertion that the unity of Syria begins with ending the Turkish occupation and its practices against the Syrian identity and against the Syrians without exception.

"The Syrian-Turkish rapprochement is not in the interest of Syria and the Syrians, after all the incitement, wars, occupation and terrorism that Turkey has caused," he added.

He warned against Turkey's threat to "invade NE Syria, which will lead to a new humanitarian catastrophe, displacement and killing, and the return of terrorism again."

While Anguera was quoted as thanking the Autonomous Administration and the Syrian Democratic Forces for maintaining security and stability in the region and fighting ISIS. And emphasis on Spain's role in supporting the Autonomous Administration in all humanitarian, economic and security aspects through the international coalition.

According to the website of Foreign Relations Department, at the end of the meeting, 2 women and 13 children from the families of ISIS mercenaries were handed over, according to an official handover document between the AANES and the State of Spain.
