Security Forces reveals outcome of its operation during 2022

The Internal Security Forces in NE Syria revealed the operations during 2022 against ISIS mercenaries, antiquities smugglers, drug dealers and drug users, and various crimes.

a statement which read in both Arabic by the spokesman for the Internal Security Forces, Brigadier General Ali al-Hassan, and in Kurdish by the co-chair of the Interior Authority in the Jazira region, Hamrin Ali.

The statement touched on the continuous Turkish attacks on NE Syria, "Our have faced many wars this year, especially the cities and towns near the border strip, as dozens of them were martyred. The Turkish occupation seeks through these encroachments and attacks to displace our people and loot their property."

The statement also referred to the escalating activity of ISIS mercenary cells, benefiting from the Turkish attacks, "aiming at weakening the security pace and dispersing our forces to increase the activities of terrorist cells and destabilizing the security and stability of citizens in our regions."

One of these attacks, which they tried to carry out but failed at the hands of our forces, in conjunction with the SDF forces, was their attempt to control the Al-Sina’a prison in Al-Hasakah and many neighborhoods close to it to help the ISIS detainees in the prison escape, where they were defeated in cooperation with our people.

While our forces continued to combat terrorism in all its forms, and pursue its sleeper cells, our forces completed the humanitarian and security campaign in its second phase in al-Hol camp, with the support of the Syrian Democratic Forces.

Where our forces were able to arrest dozens of ISIS gangs and seize large quantities of weapons and explosive materials, in addition to dismantling many terrorist and intelligence cells in the regions of northeastern Syria, as the number of cells that were dismantled reached 76 cells, and the special engineering teams also dismantled 67 mines. Our HAT Special Forces carried out 44 joint raid operations.

With regard to organizational activities, our forces held this year's third conference to discuss the organizational, administrative and security structure of the internal security forces' departments, and to make some amendments to the structure by majority vote of the attendees.

This year, the first course for officers in the Internal Security Forces was graduated at the level of NE Syria, and two special courses for officers, and the Martyr Tolhadan College for Police Sciences was opened in the city of Hasakah, to receive the second course for officers in addition to the training courses that were graduated with all Its terms of reference amounted to 23 training courses, from which 2,282 members graduated, including 291 female members.

As for combating trafficking and drug abuse, the statement revealed this outcome, "In line with the necessities of the current stage we are going through and the attempt of the enemies of our regions to strike the societal structure from within, especially the young group, with their continuous attempts to introduce drugs, in implementation of the private war they are waging in all our regions, the establishment of The General Administration for Drug Control. The number of drug-related files that the General Administration for Crime Prevention and the General Administration for Drug Control worked on reached 2,037 files, including 535 trafficking files, 387 promotion files, and 1,115 abuse files. Where the number of narcotic pills reached 3,862,41, 184,596 grams of crystal, 144 grams of cannabis seeds, and 534 grams of heroin.

In addition, the Internal Security Forces made unremitting efforts to pursue criminal crimes, and the statement added in this context, "Our forces have exerted all their energies during this year to pursue all criminal crimes that violate the safety and security of citizens' lives and property, and to combat all forms of organized crime that harm all areas of social and economic life, and bring criminals to justice.

Our crime-fighting forces managed to deal with 1,318 theft files, arrest most of the thieves and bring them to justice, in addition to following up on arms smuggling and trafficking. The number of seizures is as follows:

233 Kalashnikovs, 260 pistols, 193 hunting rifles, 49 grenades, 1015 rounds of various kinds. Our forces also uncovered the circumstances of 216 murders, arrested 351 people and transferred them to the Public Prosecution.

The Internal Security Forces also confronted counterfeiters of foreign currencies, smuggling of antiquities and counterfeiting artifacts, "and in order to preserve the economic structure with all its capabilities in combating counterfeiting currency crimes, 473,000 forged US dollars and 9,280,000 forged Syrian pounds were seized."

Our regions are also considered one of the areas that have been visited by successive civilizations and are distinguished by their cultural and civilizational richness. Weak souls work on excavations for antiquities and attempts to promote the sale of artifacts or fraud by forging artifacts to sell them, as the number of files that our forces followed up and revealed reached 68 files, and the number of detainees was 151 people.

At the level of women: "The Internal Security Forces, women, worked during this year to increase the organization of departments and offices, and to increase experience and competencies, as 32 members joined the first officers' course, and our forces graduated from the officers' course of women's forces.

Our women's forces held their third conference to increase organization in line with the pace of security development and work to combat crimes. Our forces dealt with various types of crimes, whose statistics were as follows:

All the Internal Security Forces received /882/ complaints from women, and the overall statistics were as follows:

6 drug abuse files

9 forgery files

72 impersonation files

9 files of murders in which the woman was the perpetrator and 5 files of murders in which the woman was the victim.

Suicide files have reached 20 cases and suicide attempts 2.

The statement revealed the outcome of the female and male members who were martyred and injured during the year 2022, "5 female martyrs and one female member was injured while performing their duty to defend our people and our regions."

The number of our heroic martyrs has reached 69 martyrs from all over our regions of NE Syria, and 41 members were injured while performing their duty to defend our people and our regions.

The statement concluded: "We, in the Internal Security Forces, pledge our people to be the shield and the impenetrable fortress in the face of all greedy and hostile parties, and to sacrifice our lives and ourselves for the sake of achieving security and stability.
