Council of Martyrs' Families in Aleppo calls for NFZ over NE Syria

The Martyrs' Families Council in Aleppo called for No-Fly Zone over NE Syria to stop the attacks of the Turkish occupation, stressing, "We will resist all those who attack our land."

On December 7, AANES announced launch of a campaign on virtual communication platforms on December 10 to demand the Air Exclusion Zone over Syria.

On Saturday, the Council of Martyrs' Families in Aleppo made a statement to international public opinion, which was read by the administrator of the Women's Council of the Council of Martyrs' Families, Awash Gawish, in the presence of dozens of martyrs' families in Aleppo, in front of the council center located in the western part of Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood.

The statement stressed, "The Turkish occupation is bombing the areas of the displaced on an almost daily basis, using drones, artillery, and rocket-propelled grenades, which has caused many massacres."

The statement noted, "The threats of the Turkish occupation to carry out a military operation in NE Syria undermine international efforts to combat "terrorism" and provide an opportunity for ISIS to reorganize itself."

The Council condemned the inhumane and immoral practices of the Turkish occupation against the Syrian people, and said, "We hold the countries of the world and their humanitarian institutions responsible for the bombing and violations of international law, killing of innocents and the assault on Syrian territory."

The statement demanded "the international forces to put an end to the Turkish bombing and aggression on NE Syria in particular, and Syria in general by imposing No-Flight Zone in order to save civilians from these attacks.
