Siege imposed on al-Shahba ... "As of today, generators to stop

 The Damascus government continues to impose a suffocating siege on al-Shahba canton, which houses more than 200,000 displaced people from occupied Afrin, and on the Ashrafieh and Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhoods in Aleppo, and its forces' checkpoints prevent the entry of basic materials, including fuel.

 The local administration authority in al-Shahba canton, in a circular to it, announced that all electricity generators in the canton will stop working as of today due to the lack of diesel.

 That is, the Shahba district will live dark nights, as well as the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh, in which the generators also stopped working in light of the siege imposed on them and the barriers of the Fourth Division of the Damascus government forces prevented the entry of fuel into the two neighborhoods.

 In a previous statement to our agency, the co-chair of the Afrin Canton Council, Zloukh Bakr, warned of a humanitarian catastrophe if the Damascus government continues to besiege the displaced people of Afrin and the residents of al-Shahba canton, which is exposed to daily Turkish attacks.

 The authority confirmed in its circular that the generators will remain stopped until diesel is available.
