Commander in Popular Mobilization Forces: we are ready to deter Turkey

A commander in the Popular Mobilization Forces announced the readiness of Popular Mobilization Forces to deter Turkey, while an Iraqi parliamentarian  condemned the Turkish attacks in southern Kurdistan, stressing that "they pose a threat to security".

The commander, told Roj news agency "The Popular Mobilization Forces is fully ready to attack Turkey and expel it from Iraqi territory, but this requires approval from the Iraqi government."

He added, "Turkey attacks Sinjar and many areas in Kurdistan region, which is a flagrant violation of the country's sovereignty."

He called on "the Iraqi government and the Ministry of foreign affairs to take the required measures," indicating that "the Popular Mobilization Forces intends to move against Turkey."

In a related context, Iraqi parliamentarian, Thaer Mukheef, condemned the Turkish attacks in north of the country, stressing that "they pose a threat to the security."

And he told Roj news agency that "The Turkish occupation forces have been launching attacks inside Iraq for several years, causing the displacement of the civilian from their homes and causing significant material losses to their farms and property."

Called on "the Turkish government to respect the sovereignty of Iraq and stop its attacks on Iraqi territory," and also the Iraqi government and the Council of Representatives to take the necessary measures to stop those attacks."
