Ghalib Muhammad: Barzani family smuggles more than 170,000 barrels of oil per day to Turkey

The former member of Oil and Energy Committee said that Barzani family receives daily more than 170,000 barrels from Kirkuk and Nineveh fields, and smuggles it to Turkey.

The former member of Oil and Energy Committee, Ghalib Muhammad, confirmed that Barzani family controls the oil fields in Nineveh and Kirkuk, pointing out that this family receives more than 170,000 barrels daily from the fields of the 2 governorates

Muhammad told Al-Maaluma Iraqi Agency, "The province of Kirkuk has 5 oil fields, and part of it is under the control of Barzani family, like Khurmala field, from which they obtain 170,000 barrels of oil per day for the benefit of Kar Company of Nechirvan Barzani".

Added that "the other fields in Kirkuk province belong to the federal government, but part of its oil is smuggled to Kurdistan, which is also working to smuggle it to Turkey and other countries."

And Muhammad said, "Barzanis family, in addition to its control of Khurmala field in Kirkuk, it also controls the Sfaya field in Mosul, and obtains from it (4-6) thousand barrels per day."
