Kasperian: goal of occupying power is to commit massacres against all components of the region

The co-chair of Armenian Social Council in north and east Syria, Yerevan Kasperian, criticized the silence of international coalition and Russia over the attacks of the Turkish occupation on the region and their targeting of its components.

Turkish occupation state is escalating its ground and air attacks, with all heavy weapons and advanced and modern technologies, on NE Syria, targeting citizens, through its drones, amid international silence.

In this context, co-chair of Armenian Social Council in NE Syria, Yerevan Kasperian, condemned the Turkish occupation state's ground and air attacks on the region, targeting military components and forces, noting that "Turkish occupation state is violating the ceasefire agreement and intensifying its attacks on the region and its people".

Turkish occupation state had signed an agreement with international coalition on October 17, 2019, and another with the Russian side on the 30th of same month, stated for its recognition of a ceasefire and a permanent truce, without adhering to it.

During his speech, Kasperian noted that "the goal of Turkish occupation state is to occupy the largest geographical area of Syrian territory, and commit massacres against the components of the region in general and Armenians in particular."

Criticizing the international silence about the attacks of the Turkish occupation state on the region, saying, "Turkish occupation state is taking advantage of the silence of International and Russian coalition and escalating the intensity of its attacks on the region, we must break this silence and put an end to the occupation attacks.

At the end of his speech, Kasparian called on all components to unite and stand in the face of all the attacks of Turkish occupation, and rally around its military forces.

On Wednesday, a drone belonging to Turkish occupation targeted a car near the Newroz camp northeast of the city of Derik, which led to the martyrdom of one of the members of Sotoro, according to general command of internal security forces – Sotoro.
