SDF launch security campaign in Al-Kibar area of Deir Ezzor

 Recently, Deir ez-Zor regions witnessed a rise in the frequency of assassinations that targeted members of the Civil Administration in Deir ez-Zor and tribal dignitaries in several areas by terrorist cells affiliated with ISIS mercenaries and other external parties.

 In this regard, the Syrian Democratic Forces announced the launch of a security campaign in the Al-Kibar area in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor, through a statement read in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor by the commander of the Deir ez-Zor Military Council, Abu Laith Khasham.

 At the beginning of the statement it said:

 "After the terrorist cells of ISIS mercenaries became active in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor, where the terrorist cells targeted one of our military points in the area, the forces of the Deir ez-Zor Military Council in the area and the security services followed up the movements of the terrorist cells and seized their coordinates."

"Our forces imposed a security cordon on the Al-Kibar area, targeting terrorist cells, arresting a number of them, and seizing weapons in their possession, targeting security points," the statement said.

 "The security campaign was welcomed by the people of Al-Kibar area, and they joined our forces in the security operation and demanded the intensification of security check points and the intensification of security operations in the area," it added.

 The statement stressed that the Syrian Democratic Forces are continuing their "security operations in the region in a full and extensive manner, and pursuing the remnants of terrorism wherever they are, to maintain security and stability in the region."

 In this regard, Abdullah Al-Salem, a resident of the Al-Kibar area in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor spoke to our agency, and said: "We thank the Syrian Democratic Forces for their efforts to maintain security and stability throughout Deir ez-Zor in general and the Al-Kibar region in particular, and we are with our SDF forces to defeat the terrorist".

 Al-Salem explained, "We, as the people of Al-Kibar region, support the Syrian Democratic Forces with all our strength to live in peace and security."

 Al-Salem demanded, "We ask for the intensification of security campaigns, because we are against sabotage operations and against any terrorist act that affects the security and stability of the region."
