​​​​​​​ Arab HR defenders: isolation is heinous act, violation of human rights

 The Turkish occupation state continues to impose strict isolation on leader Ocalan, prevents his lawyer and family from visiting him and imposes the most severe penalties on him inside Imrali prison, despite the numerous demands to visit him, but the Turkish occupation state rejects all requests, amid clear silence by human rights organizations.

 In this regard, our agency monitored the opinions of human rights Jurists in the city of Raqqa.

 Lawyer Khadija Badawi explained that "this forum included many important jurists from all regions of northern and eastern Syria, to discuss how to break the isolation of leader Ocalan in Imrali prison."

 Several days ago, the Democratic Legal Forum was held in order to discuss the conditions of the leader in Imrali prison.

 Khadija Badawi stressed that "this isolation is a heinous act and a violation of human rights, because whatever the charges and crimes committed, every prisoner has a human right that should not be deprived of it. The Turkish occupation state is blatantly and clearly violating the rights of leader Ocalan, depriving him of his most basic rights."

 Badawi concluded her speech by saying, "We have always demanded in our meetings the humanitarian and human rights organizations in order to stand on this matter and end the isolation and siege that the leader Ocalan is subjected to."

 In turn, lawyer Mahmoud Hamsho said, "The isolation imposed on the leader Ocalan is illegal under unknown circumstances and the conspiracy of several countries, and his arrest was arbitrary without an arrest warrant . This is arrest has nothing to do with the law."

 He stressed, "Proposals must be put forward to end the isolation of the leader Ocalan, and that the best solution is to hold a conference in the north of Syria, bring jurists who support the idea of ​​the Autonomous Administration and are convinced of the leader's thought, and hold a meeting with them in the north of Syria to lift the isolation, spread his idea on a wide regional and international scale, and obtain international support."

 Hamsho stressed that "the thought of the leader Ocalan is a humanitarian and democratic thought and calls for spreading human peace among societies."

 He pointed out, "The organizations responsible for lifting the isolation of the leader Ocalan were supposed to go to Turkey to visit the leader at his place of detention every 3 months, and apply the internal rules of this organization, but unfortunately the policy followed by the international systems is clear and it turned out that it only went once and under the supervision of the authorities.  The Turkish government stopped its activities after that visit, and this was only what the Organization for Ending Violence did.”

 Lawyer Mahmoud Hamsho concluded his speech by saying, "Only the thought of a democratic nation can lift the isolation of Leader Ocalan, because he is a peaceful human thought that aims to spread peace and security in all societies and solve all the problems and difficulties of societies."
