Major General Salem: Countries that export drone equipment are complicit in Turkey's massacres

 The Turkish occupation state escalated its bombardment of areas in northern and eastern Syria using drones during this July, coinciding with different areas being subjected to Turkish artillery shelling on an almost daily basis.

 In this context, the former head of the Egyptian Reconnaissance Service, Major General Nasr Salem, spoke to our agency about the danger of Turkey's use of drones against citizens in north and east Syria and the region.

 Drones are not subject to any international laws and control

 Major General Salem considered that "the killing operations committed by Turkey go on with different tools, and one of those tools is the drones, which are not subject to any international control or any laws," adding that "the problem lies in the Turkish state, not in weapons."

 He added, "There is a real problem represented by countries that consider themselves above the law and use uncontrollable weapons, and Turkey is one of those countries. Here we can refer to the United States, NATO countries, Israel and other countries doing what they like, and no law or condemnation will be issued by the Council  Security towards these countries only when these countries are exposed to drone attacks and endanger their societies, then they will realize the extent of the danger of this technology that can be used for other peaceful purposes, but they use it for the military purpose.”

Salem Nasr explained that Turkey's bombing of a civilian car near Kalar district in Sulaymaniyah, 280 km deep inside Iraqi territory, is a blatant violation of Iraqi sovereignty, and here it is necessary to revive laws that stop these practices.

 Major General Salem Nasr stressed that the countries that export technical equipment for drones are partners in the killing operations carried out by the Turkish state, and the great powers in the world turn a blind eye to Turkish practices in light of the intertwining of interests with them.

 The Autonomous Administration in northern and eastern Syria has repeatedly called on the United States of America and Russia to stop the brutal Turkish attacks against the region, but this was not heeded.

 On the 28th of last June, the political parties and forces in northern and eastern Syria called on the international coalition to combat ISIS and the Russian Federation to impose an air embargo on northern and eastern Syria;  To prevent Turkish crimes, this call also received no response.
