People of Afrin region denounce attacks of Turkish occupation, targeting women

 At the invitation of Kongra Star for Afrin canton, thousands of Afrin residents demonstrated to denounce the attacks of the Turkish occupation army on the regions of northern and eastern Syria and its targeting of women, under the slogan "Stop the Turkish state's terrorism against women."

 The demonstration started from the main square in the Ahras district of al-Shahba canton, and roamed the main streets in the district to reach the shrine of the martyrs of the Resistance of the Age.

Upon the arrival of the demonstrators to the shrine, they stood for a minute of silence, followed by a speech by the administrator in Kongra Star for Afrin region, Farida Ibo, which began by denouncing the attacks of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries on the regions of northern and eastern Syria, and indicated that the Turkish occupation targets the gains of the Rojava revolution in the personality of the pioneering women, who  They do not accept injustice and those who rose up in the face of the occupation to achieve a free life.

 Farida emphasized that the people as a whole will avenge the spirit of the female martyrs and will continue their struggle in the footsteps of the martyrs until their goal is achieved.

 Then, a member of the Free Women's Council, Slava Hussein, gave a speech in which she offered condolences to the families of the three martyrs, Barin Botan, Roj Khabour and Jiyan Tolhadan, and the martyrs of the Internal Security Forces, and she recalled all the martyrs of the path of freedom and democracy.

 And Slava continued: "Despite allegations that Turkish aggression was carried out in the region, and Turkey did not obtain support to carry out its occupational goals, the Turkish occupation state is adopting a new policy, which is to launch hostile attacks on the regions of north and east Syria using drones on a daily basis."

 Slava added: "The Turkish occupation state commits war crimes that contradict all international and humanitarian laws, and today we have witnessed what is being committed against civilians and women, especially women leaders, in terms of attacks, violence and killings, according to a systematic policy and a policy of extermination by the international and capitalist regimes, because they fear the revolution of women in the region and see it as a threat."  It really threatens them and their authority, so they target women who defend their cause with their struggle to achieve freedom.”

  The demonstration ended with chanting slogans saluting the martyrs and the resistance.
