​​​​​​​Perpetrators of the firman must be brought to justice in the Hague

 The last firman was committed against the Yazidis on 3/8/2018, but the signs of this firman appeared on August 14, 2007 with the massacre of Tel Azir and Siba Sheikh Khidr.  This massacre was considered the last firmament.  Two car bombs were detonated in Siba Sheikh Khidr.

 The village of Siba Sheikh Khader was one of the villages that stood in the face of ISIS and resisted it during its attack on it in 2014, seven years after the massacre that was committed in it.  ISIS has killed everyone mercilessly to break this resistance. There are now four mass graves in the vicinity of the village.

 The clashes and resistance lasted for almost a whole day

 Kamal Issa, a witness to the resistance and the massacre that took place in this village, says that when ISIS mercenaries crossed Tal Afar, they knew that they were going to Shingal.  He talked about the day of the firman, saying: "ISIS attacked the village from three sides and came with about 35 cars. They targeted the village with doshkas and mortars, so we armed ourselves and prepared for war and resistance. The clashes started at noon and continued into the morning of the second day."

 Dozens of people were killed in the doshka

 The people of Siba Sheikh Khidr village resisted with light weapons as much as they could, but when the KDP Peshmergas turned their backs on them;  They could no longer defend themselves with light weapons and had to leave the village.  Kamal Issa commented on leaving the village, saying, "We had no strength and no one was left in the village. An ISIS vehicle blocked the people's way and started shooting at them, shooting at anyone who wanted to leave the village."

 There are four mass graves in the vicinity of the village

 ISIS did not allow the villagers to leave the village, and shot them every time they wanted to.  Dozens of them were martyred and there are now two mass graves.  Kamal Issa said, “There are two other mass graves in Graja Siba. The people who did not know that ISIS was there would go there and be killed there. ISIS was in control of it and they stopped and killed them. We don’t know how many people are inside these two mass graves.”

 ISIS committed massacres not only with shooting, but also in other ways.  According to Kamal Issa, ISIS installed two gallows, and many people were executed in this way.

He returned to Shingal after three years

 Kamal Issa and his family left the village under ISIS fire and headed to Sakeeneh, from where they continued to Qandil and finally reached Karsah.  Meanwhile, a passage was opened with Rojava, so Kamal Issa and his family crossed to Rojava.  Kamal commented on this, saying: "There was no negligence on the part of the people there, they were generous and we cannot forget their kindness. The Yazidi community does not forget neither good nor evil. We stayed in Rojava for three years. There were three villages preparing food  to Nowruz camp every day."

 Kamal Issa made the decision to return to Şengal after its liberation.  He stayed in Khansour for three years, and returned to Siba Sheikh Khidr two years ago.

 Let the genocide be recognized and its perpetrators brought to justice

 Kamal Issa commented on Farman in 2014, saying, "This was a genocide, they wanted to eliminate the Yazidis. No one said that the Yazidis are an ancient society and religion. We ask for our right from God."

 Iraq did not recognize the 2014 genocide, even though eight years have passed since it was committed.  Kamal Issa drew attention to this fact, and concluded his speech with a final call, "The European countries have recognized the genocide of the Yazidis, and the Iraqi parliament must also recognize it. The perpetrators must be prosecuted, they must be referred to The Hague and held accountable so that they do not commit any other genocide against the Yazidis or other peoples."
