People of Kobani canton protest against Russian silence about Turkey's crimes

 The protest came after the recent increase in Turkish attacks on northern and eastern Syria by drones, targeting citizens, the latest of which was targeting the cities of Kobani and Qamishlo.

 The protesters raised pictures of the martyrs who were targeted by the Turkish occupation state's army, whether by drones, or by its indiscriminate bombing of citizens' homes.

 The demonstrators chanted slogans such as " shame for traitors", "victory for oppressed peoples" and "resistance is life".

 After the protesters arrived at the Russian base in the village of Sabt, south of Kobani, which is its largest base in the region, the protesters called on the Russian forces to act to stop Turkish planes from targeting citizens in the area.

 After the protesters gathered in front of the base gate, the people formed a committee, including 4 people, who are the co-chair of the Executive Council in the Euphrates region, Muhammad Shaheen, the co-chair of the Families Council in the Euphrates Region, Aisha Effendi, the co-chair of the Legislative Council in the Euphrates Region, Fawzia Abdi, and the co-chair of the County Council.  Kobani Mustafa Ito to deliver their demands to the leadership of the Russian base.

 According to the delegation that met with the base leadership in a two-hour meeting, in conjunction with the protest of the people in front of it, Mustafa Ito explained to the protesters that they explained to the Russian forces what the region is going through in terms of "destabilizing security and stability due to Turkey's provocations aimed at intimidating the people."

 Ito added: "We explained the extent of our people's annoyance with the Russian silence about what Turkey is doing, and the continuous Turkish threats and abuses, which have become an almost daily habit by targeting citizens with drones."

 Ito confirmed that the Russian side assured them that they will convey the message of the people to the Russian officials at the Hmeimim base.
