Kongra Star condemnes the targeting of 3 female commanders and gives promise to avenge the martyrs

Dissatisfaction from people of North East Syria along with the political parties continue to grow in light of the genocidal attacks carried out by the Turkish occupation state against the people of North East Syria and South Kurdistan.

The Kongra Star Coordination of the Euphrates region pointed out in regards to the attacks, that the Turkish occupation targets the free and leading women who carried out an inspirational struggle against the ISIS terrorists and further reminded about Turkey`s support to ISIS.

On Friday July 22, the Turkish occupation state martyred 3 leading YPJ figures; Jiyan Tolhildan(Commander of the Anti Terror Units- YAT), Barin Botan (YAT fighter) and YPJ commander Roj Khabour on the Qamishlo highway.

The Kongra Star coordination gave a statement regarding the incident. Kongra Star coordination member Mizgin Khalil read out the statement at the Free Women`s Square in Kobabe city center with the participation of dozens of Kongra Star members, and several council members of the Autonomous Administration in Euphrates region. The statement said: “ After the defeat of ISIS, the Turkish occupation state is targeting the will of the people from the region, and especially the free women, with even greater brutality than ISIS did.

The coordination continued by pointing out that there is silence from the international community regarding the crimes carried out by the Turkish occupation state and said this is proof of complicity.

The coordination continued their statement by drawing attention to the crimes of the Turkish occupation state in the region and said: “A few days ago, Turkish occupation drones targeted the regions of Zakho, Qamishlo and Kobane. In the latest targeting, 3 female vanguards who displayed a great level of struggle in the July 19 Revolution, were martyred.

On July 20, the Turkish occupation state carried out a massacre in South Kurdistan`s Zakho district against a tourist destination resulting in 9 people loosing their lives and a further 23 being injured.

The Kongra Star Coordination reiterated their promise to follow along the path of the martyrs and called for all women to enhance their struggle against Turkish fascism and furhter called for them to organize themselves with the prinsiples of revolutionary people`s war and to avenge the martyrs.
