Interlocutors: You build pioneering project in the region

 The work of the International Forum on the July 19 Revolution continues under the slogan "The July 19 Revolution: Achievements, Challenges, Prospects" in Bilsan Resort in Amuda district of Qamishlo canton.

 After the first axis, the panelists moved to the second axis, entitled "Democratic Autonomous Administration, as an Experience and Model", where the session was moderated by Zozan Hassan, a member of the Rojava Center for Strategic Studies.  The lecturers participated in it were "Professor of Political Science at the University of Vienna, expert on the Middle East and the Kurdish issue, Thomas Schemendeger, former President of the American International Association for Freedom of Religion, Nadine Maenza, and Director of the Lebanese Center for Research and Consultation, Hassan Qutb, where Dr.  Criminal Law and Political Science and Vice President of the Arab Center for Political and Strategic Studies in Cairo, Mokhtar Ghobashi as a result of a technical failure.

 Professor of Political Science at the University of Vienna, an expert on the Middle East and the Kurdish issue, Thomas Schemendeger, spoke about the Autonomous Administration and its role in protecting local, regional and international peace and security.

And then the former president of the American International Committee for Freedom of Religion, Nadine Maenza, delivered her axis entitled " Autonomous Administration in terms of the rights of components and freedom of religions and cultures compared to other Syrian regions."

 Nadine Maenza said: "The Syrian Democratic Forces have eliminated ISIS, but the areas occupied by Turkey are exposed to all forms of violence such as kidnapping and assault, especially in the areas occupied by Turkey. My first visit to Rojava was in 2019 and Turkey was killing civilians, trying to target religious and local minorities. There are war crimes in Syria and Turkish aggression."

 She added, "I can note the international support for this experience in northern and eastern Syria, regardless of my position. I will support the people of northern and eastern Syria."

 Participations:

 The representative of the Autonomous Administration in France, Khaled Issa said: “The formed countries in the Middle East, including Syria, depended on the model of the nation-state, and follow a single ideological and nationalist ideology. These institutions did not express ambitions  all residents of this country and the concept that was put forward in the Autonomous Administration is the project of the democratic nation and the building of public institutions with equality that comply with the rights of all components.”

As for the Egyptian researcher and politician Rami Zuhdi, he spoke about the importance of the Autonomous Administration as a pillar for further strengthening the relations between the peoples of the region and the Arab countries, peoples and governments.  The administration in north and east Syria is linked to the region’s system and components. The women’s experience in north and east Syria, I see, is a unique experience and their successes are strong.” He said.

 The writer and author specialized in Kurdish affairs, Patrice Francesky, said in his intervention: "It is an honor for us as a French delegation participating among you today and celebrate with you the tenth anniversary of your revolution, despite your declaration of a state of emergency. I am sure that we will meet here again after tens of years and we will live with great joy."

 He added, "We are here to convey your voice to the French opinion and the media and officials in power in France. We know that the situation has worsened after Trump prepared Erdogan to attack your regions in 2019, and today everyone's eyes are directed towards the Ukrainian war. We must not forget the struggle and the ongoing war."  Here, we earlier denounced Finland and Sweden's position and their acceptance of Turkish terms."

 He explained: "At a time when we are meeting here, there is a summit in Tehran between three countries who will discuss your future there. On the anniversary of the July 19 revolution, I am very optimistic. There are those who boil water to prepare for an attack on you and you are celebrating here. This meeting is an example of resistance."

 He concluded his speech by saying: "We will work to convey your voice to France, especially against Erdogan's threats. We will work so that France has a strong stance against Erdogan's attacks. The time has not passed yet. You are resisting and we will struggle to stand up to the Turkish attacks. There is no catastrophe. Optimism. Resist and you will win." 

"The international community turns a blind eye to the sacrifices of the Syrian Democratic Forces"

 Ms. Megan Bodett, who participated in the forum, touched on the role of the international community in supporting local peace and security in north and east Syria.

 Megan made it clear that the Syrian Democratic Forces did not attack anyone, on the contrary, they are attacked. The international forces have a goal in this region, which is witnessing an ongoing war, and they turn a blind eye to what is happening in the region, especially since there are threats from Turkey to attack the region.

 Megan indicated that the international community turned a blind eye to the sacrifices of the Syrian Democratic Forces against ISIS as well, after they fought ISIS and occupied their cities, and the international community should return the favor and help the people of northern and eastern Syria.

 Megan indicated that Turkey wants to repeat what it did in 2019, the international community should see what is happening on the ground, there are threats to humanity in the regions of north and east Syria, and it will have negative consequences for the Kurdish areas and other components, Turkey wants to occupy their areas.

 Megan added, "You are building a pioneering project in the region. The international community is required to find a solution for Syria away from greed. The agreements that take place in the future must have representation for northern and eastern Syria. If they are not in it, any agreement they conclude will fail. Everyone wants a safe, democratic Syria.  The mission of the international community is to stand up to the Turkish attacks and protect civilians. The world must play its role in this region.”

 It is scheduled to start the third and final session after the break, under the title "obstacles and challenges facing the 19th revolution".
