Politicians call international community to give back to NE, Syria

During various activities, parties and organizations in north and east Syria denounced the threats of the Turkish occupation state against the components of the region. In a statement on June 28, it demanded the international powers to close the area's airspace to the Turkish occupation.

In this context, the Secretary of the Kurdish Democratic Roj Party in Syria, Kovan Kanao, indicated that the Turkish occupation state is taking advantage of international conditions and the world’s preoccupation with the Russian-Ukrainian war, as well as working to direct the Turkish voter about the economic and democratic crisis abroad by carrying out more aggressive actions on Syrian territory. And he indicated that the initiative of the political parties and forces in north and east Syria came in response to the genocidal plans being planned against the region.

Kovan Kanao talked about the policies of the Turkish occupation that are fighting the democratic project in north and east Syria and the Kurdish issue, and said, "The Turkish occupation is fighting all democratic projects and does not want a solution to the Kurdish issue, and it is fighting any Kurdish forces that seek to preserve the gains of the Kurdish people."

Kanao stressed, during his speech, that the international silence encourages Turkey to commit more massacres, and said, "We have presented our demands to the international coalition, the Russian Federation and the United Nations to restrain Turkey from committing crimes."

In the same context, Abbas Hussein, member of the Political Office of the Kurdish Democratic Party in Syria - Parti, said, "The Turkish occupation continues its genocidal attacks to occupy more Syrian lands and strike the democratic project in the region represented by AANES to obtain international bargaining at the expense of the Kurdish people."

Abbas Hussein stressed that "Turkey has a bloody history against the peoples of the region, especially the Kurdish people, and today it is trying to exterminate it, especially after the defeat of ISIS mercenaries, by targeting national figures with drones and occupying more Syrian lands, amid international silence."

In conclusion, he called on the international powers and the international coalition to close the airspace of the region to the occupying Turkish state. He stressed the need for "the international community to hold Turkey accountable for its crimes, its support for ISIS mercenaries, and for bringing terrorism to Syria, instead of allowing it to exterminate the peoples of the region that call for peace."
