Democratic Society Movement TEV-DEM issued a statement on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. The text of the statement read:

On the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Adha, we extend our warmest congratulations and blessings to the families of martyrs and the wounded comrades, to our resistance people and to all components of Syrian society.

We hope that this holiday will be a means to establish peace and stability throughout Syria and the region, and that radical solutions will be reached that can restore the values of joy to symbolic and religious occasions to the hearts of all components."

The movement indicated that the importance of holidays comes from the fact that they carry in their essential meanings the spirit of tolerance in building a free participatory life on the principles of justice and equality without discrimination.

and said, "However, Turkish occupation and its mercenaries do not pay any attention to these holidays and its values, but rather turn them into a policy of terrorism, crime, extermination and a policy of ethnic cleansing, and impose them on safe and peaceful societies. And Turkish fascist state continues to practice the most heinous types of violations and crimes against humanity in occupied areas, and threatens to launch military operations at a time when the peoples of the region receive the blessed days of Eid al-Adha.

TEV DEM concluded its congratulatory telegram by renewing its congratulations, and continued: "We in Democratic Society Movement renew our congratulations again and we hope that peace and harmony will prevail in our countries and that the joy and happiness of holidays will return to the faces of our children, and we stress the struggle to secure the safe return of all IDPs to their homes."
