HPG: 985 Turkish soldiers killed in 2 months

In a statement released by the Media Office of the Peoples' Defense Forces, the HPG, it was revealed that 985 soldiers of the Turkish occupation forces were killed in a series of operation carried out by the guerrilla fighters in Avashin, Zap and Metina in the Medya Defense Zones in Southern Kurdistan in a period of two months. The operations cover the period from 14 April up to 14 June.

The statement noted that 744 operations were carried out by the Turkish occupation forces.  the statement added two high profile officers were among those 985 troops killed.

Two helicopters were damaged too and a tank and two armored vehicles were also destroyed in operations.

The statement said in the period of two months 58 fighters were martyred of whom 13 by chemical weapons adding 779 times chemical and bombs were used against the guerrilla fighters.
