SDF: ISIS cells' leader killed during a security operation in Hasaka countryside

Today, Syria Democratic Forces carried out a security operation in southern countryside of Hasaka, which resulted in the killing of a leader of ISIS mercenary cells who was active in transferring money and distributing it to the mercenaries and their families.

According to the official website of Syria Democratic Forces, "the operation targeted a wanted ISIS leader in the village of Al-Attala in Shadadi countryside, south of Hasaka, he was active in transferring and distributing funds to organization's cells and their families, in addition to promoting the organization's ideological messages, and participating in planning operations targeting service, military and security institutions."

The website added, "The Units chased the wanted terrorist as he fled his house, and called him to surrender, yet he refused to answer the call and opened the fire on the Units. At the end of the clashes, the terrorist was found dead".

The website confirmed that "Our Counter-terrorism Units, our security forces, and the coalition forces continue their efforts in countering terrorism and ISIS cells to maintain the safety and security of the region."
