Israeli attack on southern Damascus

At dawn today, Israel launched a new missile attack, targeting some points south of Damascus, amid information about casualties and material losses.

A military source told an agency affiliated with Damascus government, "At 4.20 am today, Israeli enemy carried out an air aggression with missiles from occupied Syrian Golan, targeting some points south of the city of Damascus, our air defenses confronted the aggression's missiles and shot down most of them."

The source added that "the aggression resulted in the injury of a civilian and some material damages."

For its part, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that strong explosions were heard in Damascus and its countryside at 4:00 am in the morning today, as a result of Israeli bombing that targeted warehouses of Iranian-affiliated groups in the area of Damascus International Airport.

According to SOHR' sources, flames were seen rising from the 3 sites that were targeted, and this coincided with a heavy movement of ambulances that were seen on the road to Damascus International Airport, amid confirmed information about injured members of Iranian-affiliated groups.

It is noteworthy that this Israeli targeting is the fifteenth on Syrian territory since the beginning of 2022.
