​​​​​​​Shervan Darwish: defending home is collective duty

On the recent threats made by the Turkish occupation state led by Erdogan against North and East Syria to carry out military operation into the region and the so-called security zones endeavoured by Erdogan ANHA met Shervan Darwish Spokesperson for Manbij Military Council said that ISIS is the most beneficiary from Turkish threats against the region adding it is a communal duty to defend home.

Shervan said: the Turkish threats on the region are not anew. This coincides with the sixth annual anniversary of the liberation of the city of Manbij from ISIS mercenaries.''

Shervan made it clear that ''such threats are made from time to time to subvert the stability in the region and to occupy more lands in the region''.

Shervan added '' the Turkish occupation start seeks a justification to occupy Manbij and to control it for its strategic position in addition it seeks to occupy all the borders areas on NES. We are taking these threats seriously''.

Shervan noted that the Turkish occupation state tries to exploit the  international circumstances to pass its projects in the region. It practises a dirty political bargaining for which it threatens to occupy the region from time to another .

Darwish added  that in case such an attack carried out it is their duty to repel it in line with all international charters and laws regarding the right to defense. Who would bear the repercussions of the war? There would be a million migration and civilians would suffer unbearably''.

Shervan Darwish added the political situation in Syria needs a political solution not military ones, and that all justifications and pretexts citing Turkish national security are mere lies and that wars and occupations do not provide security. On the contrary, dialogue and seeking solutions are the best way to crisis and any attacks would aggravate the situation''.

Shervan said: the Turkish occupation state and mercenary groups target all frontlines and they attempt to penetrate. The main aim is to spread horror and fear among people and to demoralize them to leave their homes and to facilitate the occupation of their lands''.

Spokesperson for Manbij Military Council said '' it is our duty to defend both lands and people. This is of course a collective duty. We in the Manbij Military Council are on duty in the best way. In the last six years we have built a defensive system that is very strong by train and discipline too. We have great expertise. In addition to the communal complementarity to repel and stand up to any possible attack by the aspiring occupiers''.

Shervan indicated that the Turkish occupation state has occupation agendas that target our people and land. It targets the way we live. All these issues are adopted by the Turkish occupation state against the North eastern Syria region''.

''this impinges our campaign and work against ISIS and specially regarding sleeper cells that would exploit such circumstances to carry out terrorist acts taking into account that ISIS are building themselves in areas occupied by Turkey'', Shervan said.

Shervan said the first beneficiary of such attacks are the ISIS mercenary groups. All our efforts would be discharged into defending our areas and regions. This would give succor to ISIS to carry out terrorist acts in the region''. 

Shervan Darwish concluded by saying ''any attack on the region would have grave repercussions and consequences on the future of Syria and the war against terror''.
