SDC parties: Erdogan's "safe" zone means reviving ISIS mercenaries

 In the context of the reactions against the threats launched by the Turkish occupation state to launch attacks targeting the democratic project in north and east Syria, the parties of the Syrian Democratic Council issued today, Saturday;  a statement condemning these attacks, near the Free Women's Square in the center of Kobani.

 The statement was read by the administrator in the media office of the Kurdish Left Party in Syria, Roken Alloush, and it said:

 "Since the Syrian crisis, the Turkish state has been trying to blackmail the world, sometimes through the refugee crisis and at other times by not granting NATO membership to some European countries, with the aim of blackmailing world public opinion to pass its foreign policy and settling displaced and jihadists in northeast Syria, with the aim of demographic change and ethnic cleansing against the peoples of the region, especially Christians, Yazidis, Kurds and Armenians, it has also intensified its attacks in recent times and bombarded the border villages with heavy weapons to displace the indigenous people from the area and establish the so-called “safe zone” similar to Afrin, Tal Abyad, Ras al-Ain, and the arrival of jihadists from the world to revive ISIS again.  More Syrian lands, thus violating UN Resolution 2254.

 The statement continued, "We, the parties of the Syrian Democratic Council in the Euphrates region, see that the concept of Erdogan's safe zone is the revival of jihadist cells, knowing that the occupied areas are now hotbeds of tension as witnessed by the cities extending from Ras al-Ain to Afrin days ago, and as happened in Ghweran prison, which confirmed that the room its operations were under the management of the Turkish "MIT" and mercenaries in Ras al-Ain, and the frequency of Turkish attacks increased after the US Treasury Department exempted northern and eastern Syria from the Caesar Act, which will lead to economic and political stability in it.

 The statement called on the United Nations, human rights and humanitarian organizations, and the state guarantor of agreements with Turkey to stop Turkish attacks on northern and eastern Syria, prevent the safe zone project along the lines of Erdogan’s concept, and resolve the Syrian crisis in accordance with UN resolutions and on the basis of Syrian dialogue to reach a pluralistic, democratic, decentralized Syria and preserve Syrian unity with all  its people and components.

 It is noteworthy that the parties of the Syrian Democratic Council in the Euphrates region consist of the Future Syria Party, the Kurdistan Democratic Peace Party, the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Accord Party, the Kurdish Democratic Party in Syria (Al-Party), the Kurdish Left Party in Syria, the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Party, and the Kurdistan Republican Party.  The Democratic Union Party (PYD) and the Kurdish Democratic Unity Party in Syria (Yekti).
