On 3 May Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan revealed in a statement that Turkey under the Voluntary Return seeks to return a million Syrian refugees to their country by Turkish and international organizations.

To shed light on the statement made and the inherent project by the Turkish occupation state in northern Syria, ANHA met Deputy Co-chair of the Afrin Executive Council Israfil Mustafa.

Mustafa said the Turkish occupation state by settling a million Syrian refugees in occupied areas aim to applying the Misak-i-Milli and to occupy the whole of northern Syria.

Mustafa called on the human and legal organizations to stop the project engineered by Turkey.

Mustafa said ''by looking into the history of the Turkish occupation state that has a long proceeds and an appalling legacy of human rights breaches, that was represented in the ethnic annihilation of the humanity and committing massacres, then there is no wonder what it commits against the Syrian people and notably the Kurdish people. All these crimes are against the international laws and norms and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The aim is to occupy northern Syria to be annexed to Turkish territories as the world merely watches with no reaction''.

''by looking again into the history of the Turkish occupation state and their Ottoman forefathers, their gains and achievements are based on the annihilation and blood shedding of others, in 1915 it was the Armenian Genocide then massacres were committed in northern Kurdistan in the Kurdish villages up to what they do in northern Syrian areas'', he said.

Mustafa said since they very early onset of the Syrian crisis the Turkish occupation is engaged directly to deepen the crisis. destruction and displacement and arming the factions logistically and mercenary groups such as ISIS and its likes in Syria and then it applies its plots in those areas under occupation.

Mustafa indicated to the international laws and norms that prevent the exploitation of refugees but  what the Erdogan led government is doing is contrary to all these agreements and treaties. Mustafa noted that Erdogan exploited the refugees as a card in the face of the EU calling for financial aids to accommodate the refugees and it recruited thousands of them to be sent as mercenaries to foreign countries such as Libya, Azerbaijan''.

Regarding the policy to settle more than a million refugees in northern Syria'' as we have already said, the Turkish occupation state seeks a multi-faceted policy in the refugees file. Besides making it a pressure card in European and international arenas it has turned into one of the most dangerous issues in its dirty policy to create a demographic change''.

Mustafa went on to say' during the Syrian crisis Turkey defrauded most of the Syrian people in most areas, such as Eastern Ghuta, Homs, Idlib and many others. Those were displaced from their areas and were made sacrifices of the Erdogan led policies. Today as the aspirations of those refugees were not met he claims that he would settle them in northern Syria. This is an enablement of the Misak-I-Milli. It aims to make a rift in the peoples of the region via its dirty policy to bring contempt and despise.

Deputy Co-chair of the Afrin Executive Council called on the people of Afrin and all people of Syria to increase fight and to struggle in the face of the plots and schemes engineered by the Turkish occupation state and to take each other's; side and its mercenaries and agents.
