Farid Atti: Silence of Damascus government indicates that it is a partner in settlement project

 With the support of Qatari and Kuwaiti brotherhood organizations, the Turkish occupation state established settlements in the areas it occupies in northern and eastern Syria for one million Syrian refugees from various Syrian regions for annexing them to the Turkish occupation state, in light of the silence of the Damascus government, which always claims in its statements that it maintains  on the territorial integrity of Syria, however, these statements are baseless.

 In this regard, the co-chair of the General Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Farid Atti, denounced the position of the Damascus government and said, "The Damascus government constantly emphasizes the unity of Syrian lands, knowing that we have not seen any serious position from it regarding Turkey's occupation of large parts of the Syrian land and its annexation to Turkish lands." 

 Atti explained, "All these operations are a Turkish security policy between the two countries since the beginning of the Syrian crisis. The aim of these operations that Turkey is carrying out without responding or opposing it is to empty the opposition of its content through deportation and resettlement operations and Turkey's claim that these areas  free of terrorism.

 He said, "There is a security agreement between the Damascus government and the Turkish occupation regarding demographic change in the regions of NE Syria and NW Syria under the pretext of settling refugees."

 He stressed, "All displaced Syrians, refugees and internally displaced persons have an original home in Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and other Syrian cities. They do not need to build settlements in northern Syria by the Turkish countries to return them to Syria."

 Atti pointed out, "The Syrian people should oppose this conspiracy, as Turkey has ambitions in Syria, Iraq and the Middle East, and all these security agreements do not bring solutions to the Syrian people."

 He explained, "The reason for the Syrian crisis and the displacement of the Syrian people is Turkey in the first place and the Damascus government in the second place, because they are looking for emergency security solutions to address the Syrian issue."

 Farid Atti appealed to all Syrians, opponents and politicians to resolve the Syrian crisis within the Syrian geography away from international conferences such as Geneva and others, which have not helped until today to solve even a small part of this crisis.

 Atti pointed out, "Foreign interventions in the Syrian issue, especially Turkey, are in themselves a danger to Syrian geography. Today, the areas that fall under the control of the Turkish occupation are raised above them, the Turkish currency is used, and the Turkish language is taught. These operations all indicate the demographic change of the region." 

 At the end of his speech, Atti called on all the Syrian people to know that the occupation and settlement will not bring solutions to the Syrians, especially the Turkish occupation.  The face of this colonial schemes."
