Syriac component: Turkish occupation targets all people of the region

Syriacs explained that the goal of the Turkish's attacks on the region is to strike the coexistence between the components of North and East Syria, and they affirmed their support for the Arabs and the Kurds against Turkey.

Under the slogan "No to the aggressive Turkish state policies against the peoples of the region", the Syriac Union Party, the Syriac Women's Union and the Syriac Progressive Youth Union organized a protest stop, yesterday, Thursday, that will continue for two consecutive days.

ANHA's agency monitored the opinions of the participants in the tent, about the Turkish attacks on the Khabur areas and the areas of North and East Syria in general.

Sabah Shabo, the member of the Syriac Women's Union, spoke about the reasons that prompted them to organize the protest stop, saying: "We, as a Syriac people stand today to say no to the Turkish occupation or the Turkish attacks that are still continuing on our areas in NE Syria."

Noting that the Turkish occupation does not target one component, but the peoples of the region, saying: "The Turkish occupation targets all the peoples of the region, not one people, because its goal is to bring down the societal petition among the peoples of the region. It does not only attack the Kurdish people, but the Syriac people, or the Armenians."

Indicating that the Syriac people did not forget the Sefu massacre, and said: "We do not forget what the Turkish state did to the Syriac people in the Sefu massacre, today this scenario is repeated with the displacement of our people from the villages of Khabour.

As for the member of the executive body of the Syriac Union Party, Suhail Baho said: "For a hundred years, the Syriac people have suffered from injustice and violations of all kinds, which killed nearly half a million in 1915, and until now it is implementing its fascist policy that persecutes peoples in the North and East Syria from violations and demographic change in the occupied areas.
