PUK accuses PDK of handing over Şengal to ISIS

Last Monday, the Iraqi army, with the support of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, launched a massive attack on Şengal.

In this context, the Şengal Organizations Center (15) of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan said in a statement: With regard to the statement of the 17th branch of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, we want to remind you of some facts:

- You talked about that the people of Şengal are witnesses that you provided blood and victims when ISIS terrorists attacked Şengal, and the truth is that the authority in Şengal was in your hands, and you are the ones who said your branch official that you will fight with 12 thousand Peshmerga elements, but the fact is that on the night of the attack an order was issued to the Peshmerga to withdraw without firing a single shot, today the people of Şengal are all witnesses that you handed Şengal to ISIS.

- You talked about liberation of Şengal and that only you did it, and the fact is that the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan delivered a large amount of weapons and equipment to Mount Şengal through Syria, and until today the Patriotic Union participated side by side with the people of Şengal in its liberation, many fighters of 111th Brigade martyred in Şengal.

- You talked about October 16, 2017, and that the people of Şengal asked you to manage themselves, and if this is true, why did the people of Şengal not manage themselves?

- You talked about the October elections, last year, and the fact is that the people of Şengal voted after you intimidated them, and there is a Şengal woman who spoke to social networking sites and said that they were informed that if they did not vote for the Democrat, they would be expelled from the camps.

- You are the ones who prevent the return of the people to martyred to benefit from their votes in the elections.

National Union, since its founding, has not been in favor of outbidding, nor will it be, it has always been in favor of serving the people; Because we are students of Mam Jalal's approach, who has always been a defender of the cut-off areas.

The patriotic union calls for clearing the way for the people of Şengal to return to their areas.
