In a statement the General Council of the Democratic Union Party, the PYD, condemned the attack of the Iraqi army on Shingal calling on the Iraqi army to stop this genocide.

''in a joint and coordinated that is obvious to the whole world hatched by regional powers at te head of which the Turkish occupation state and Kadhimi Government and the Kurdistan Democratic Party , the PDK , the Iraqi army carries out a large scale attack on the Yazidi community in the Shingal province.

The Iraqi army carries out these immoral attacks at a time when the Turkish occupation state breaches the Iraqi sovereignty and shells Kurdish villages and annihilates the Kurdish people. The Iraqi government ought to disengage itself from the Turkish plot and repel its attacks not to head its weapons towards its own people that was open to firmans and calamities in history that legitimized their annihilation and murder.

The aim of the Turkish occupation state is to pass its plots and schemes in the region and to subvert the democratically attained project in North and East Syria and to annex more lands and destabilise the region.

We condemn in the strongest terms attack of the Iraqi army on our people in Shingal and we calling on the Iraqi army to stop this genocide immediately.

We call on our people and all freedom seeking peoples in Kurdistan and diaspora to stand up to this genocide for the grave dangers it implies.
