Families of Imrali's prisoners apply for access

Ocalan's family, his lawyers and families of other prisoners in Imrali Prison submitted a request to the Public Prosecution Office in the Turkish city of Bursa to meet them.

Mehmet Ocalan, lawyer Mazloum Deng and relatives of other political prisoners in Imrali prison, brother of detainee Omar Khairy Konar, Ali Konar, brother of Hamili Yildirim, Polat Yildirim, and sister of Wissy Aktas, Maliha Cetin, submitted a request to the Public Prosecution Office in the city of Bursa to meet them next Monday.

The same request was submitted to the Directorate of the Closed Maximum Security Prison Form F in Imrali, through the Bursa Public Prosecutor's Office

In his high-security prison in Imrali, Ocalan has been isolated since he was arrested in 1999 through an international conspiracy.

The last meeting with the leader was on March 25, 2020, through a phone call with his brother for only five minutes, then the call was cut off.

Ocalan’s lawyers were able to meet their client after 8 years, on May 2, 22, June 12 and 18 and August 7, 2019, after which the Turkish authorities rejected all requests submitted by the lawyers to meet with him.
