Prisoners in the Amed Prison Number 1 have started a three-day hunger strike in protest of the inhumane condition they live in and human rights abuses calling on civil society associations to document breaches.

Political prisoners held in the Amed Prison Number 1 have decaled a hunger strike that lasts for three days against the human rights abuses inside the prison committed by prison guards against prisoners.

Beran Aman, that was detained in Nusaybin of Mardin, is sentenced to 35 years and 10 months. 

In a phone call with his family, Beran said that torture was on the rise recently, adding that guards in the prison are attacking them without any grounds and threatening them '' you will see the state's strength''.

Beran said Umit Ozkan, Mohamed Qasem Asalan, and Dogan Ozbahjaji were all transferred to cell that do not contain surveillance cameras.

Aman called on the Amed Office, HID, and the IHD to document breach taking place in the prison.
