5 women were raped by a well-known doctor in Southern Kurdistan

The representative of the Kurdistan Islamic Union bloc in the parliament of the Southern Kurdistan region, Abu Bakr Heldani, revealed, on Friday, that 5 women were subjected to the crime of rape by a well-known doctor in the region.

Heldani said in a press statement that one of the five women revealed to him that a plastic surgeon in Sulaymaniyah had raped her and then promised to marry her after she became pregnant, according to Roj News.

He added that "the doctor raped four other women after defrauding them in the name of marriage, according to the victim," noting that he is "a well-known doctor in the province."

While a statement by the Ministry of Health in the Southern Kurdistan region stated that the Minister of Health of the Southern Kurdistan region, Saman Barzanji, had discussed in a telephone conversation with the parliamentarian, and asked him for details of the issue, including the name and address of the doctor and the evidence he possesses, in order to move the public prosecution on the matter and take legal measures against the doctor.

Pointing out that the Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the Medical Syndicate and the Public Prosecution, will investigate and take legal measures against this "aggression" that is far from the ethics and ethics of the medical profession.
