After ISIS attack, cautious calm prevails in al-Hol Camp

The most dangerous camp in the world in North and East Syria is witnessing a cautious calm, amid the continuation of security investigations by the Internal Security Forces in the attack that targeted their forces from inside the camp, and the life is gradually returning to its normal to the IDPs and refugees inside the camp.

AL-HASAKAH

Al-Hol Camp, east of the city of Hasakah, north and east of Syria, witnessed on the 28th of this March, an attack by a cell of ISIS mercenaries inside the camp on a patrol of the Internal Security Forces dedicated to controlling the security of the camp, which ended with the latter’s killing of one of the cell’s mercenaries, and the arrest of others. The Internal Security Forces have also intensified their presence in the camp.

ISIS cell launched the attack, when the security forces raided a number of tents inside the fifth section designated for the Syrians in the camp, in which they targeted the security forces’ vehicles with a number of RPGs, according to what was confirmed by the statement of the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria, which was issued yesterday.

On Wednesday, al-Hol Camp is witnessing a cautious calm, with the gradual return to normal life, as confirmed by ANHA’s correspondent in al-Hol district, with the Internal Security Forces continuing to reinforce the security cordon around the camp wall, and continuing to investigate the circumstances of the attack.
