PYD: Syrian crisis can only be resolved by recognizing the rights of  all the components in Syria

General Council of PYD issued a statement on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of the start of Syrian crisis.

The statement reads:

Syrian crisis have reached its 11 years, and Syria is still suffering from the biggest crisis it has faced since its inception, and its crisis has transformed from a bloody internal conflict between the regime and so-called opposition to an international crisis in which world powers are fighting, and Syrian geography has turned into a proxy war between the powers regional and international, and half of the Syrian people were displaced inside and outside, the infrastructure was destroyed, Syrian economy collapsed, and international sanctions were imposed on Syrian people.

The Syrian revolution began with the hope that change would be achieved towards achieving democracy, pluralism and freedom of expression, after the Syrian people had been deprived of it for many decades. However, it quickly deviated from its course, and Syrian revolution turned into a means to achieve the establishment of chauvinistic, authoritarian and radical regimes that reject all democratic projects. It became a gathering place for all the world's terrorists; They invaded all safe and peaceful areas in implementation of the agendas of regional powers, especially Turkish occupation.

While the authority in Damascus is still betting on returning to before 2011 after all the internal, regional and international changes, and Damascus regime is seeking by imposing military hegemony to end the crisis in Syria after controlling large areas at the expense of (opposition) through methods such as "Settlements" With Syrian people, as if Syrian people are condemned and accused in an effort to marginalize and exclude all democratic projects proposed by Autonomous Administration in order to find a radical solution to Syrian crisis.

Since the beginning of Syrian crisis, the peoples in "Rojava, NES" have adopted the responsibility of defending themselves after the invasion of terrorism backed by Turkish occupation of Syrian geography, and our Party has adopted the principle of the third line, and our calls have been continuous to achieve democracy and change in Syria through peaceful solutions while preserving the principle of legitimate defense, The will of the peoples of northern and eastern Syria resulted in the project of Autonomous Administration, which has embraced all peoples and components in a pluralistic, democratic administration in which human rights are preserved and societies preserve their existence, culture and entities.

We in General Council of Democratic Union Party at a time when we are seeking to end the Syrian crisis through internal Syrian-Syrian dialogue and not depend on external forces, especially after its failure to put a solution to the Syrian crisis after holding dozens of international agreements, we consider the exit of Turkish occupation from Syrian geography is one of the most important solutions that will end the Syrian crisis, and we also confirm that there is no future Syrian solution unless AANES and Syrian Democratic Forces are part of Syrian constitution and to establish the rights of Kurdish people and the rest of the components to get rid of Syrian crisis and move towards achieving a decentralized, pluralistic and democratic system.
