Al-Abo: Manbij city witnessed prosperity after establishing Civil Administration

Following the liberation of the region from ISIS/Daesh terrorist mercenaries, the Democratic Civil Administration was established in Manbij and its countryside, with the participation of all components based on March 12, 2016.

"With the launch of the campaign to liberate the city of Manbij and its countryside from ISIS/Daesh mercenaries in mid - 2016, a Civil Council was formed to provide necessary and emergency services until the establishment of the administration, and the Civil Council continued its work after the city was completely liberated from ISIS terrorism," said co-chair of the Legislative Council in Manbij and its countryside Mohammed Ali al-Abo.

He continued: "The Social Justice Council of Lawyers was then established because it was absolutely necessary to have justice and fairness in cases of concern to citizens. The Legislative Council was then formed in a consensual manner from all the components and spectra of the city. Women were also able to take their leading and primary role in the administration through equal seats between women and men."

He added: "By joining hands with the administration, we have always overcome these violations and the psychological warfare that many parties are playing against our people, and by not relying on the international community to stand up to those violations and crimes," he said.

The co-chair of the Legislative Council of Manbij and its countryside Mohammad Ali al-Abo concluded: "This situation would not have been possible had it not been for the sacrifices of the martyrs whom we recall in these moments and tell them that you, the ones who have lit our path to freedom and built our democratic and political society, would be on their path until a free and moral political society in which social justice prevails."

He described the establishment of autonomous administration in the city of Manbij a historic and very important step for the people of Manbij to enter a new phase of renaissance, security, stability and democracy after the people of ISIS terrorism suffered from the injustice, slavery and inhuman practices that ISIS had against the people. "The Civil Administration initially worked to restore the community situation in which ISIS had spread its poisoned ideas."
