​​​​​​​Ilhami al-Milighi: Arab community ought to be more active in calling for PKK delisting

Al-Milighi said the ''inclusion by the United States of America and the European Union of Kurdistan Workers' Party in the Terrorism List is groundless, and we can describe it as a null and void decision. The party exercises a right that is guaranteed in conventions and norms; that is struggling for the rights of people to have full rights in citizenship politically, culturally and socially''. 

The Egyptian journalist said all indications signify that the U.S. and EU anti-terror regulations cannot be applied to the Kurdistan Workers' Party  for the party is a part to a non-international armed conflict, adding the decision was favouring Turkey as a NATO ally '' it is based on favouritism and not defined in international conventions that give the party the right in the face of security and military instrument against a regime adopts violence and terror against its people''.

Al-Milighi said the party played a role in combating ISIS in North eastern Syria, and in Sinjar, and it played a significant role in organizing in those regions and gave them moral. All this corroborates the party is a national one aspires to achieve its gaols and preserve peace and security in the region and bring in a decent life for people I those areas after being open to ISIS terror''.  

Al-Milighi added keeping the party in the U.S. and the EU lists impinges upon the struggle performed by the Kurdish people and its cause, that is a shame on the face of humanity''.

On the policies embraced against the Kurds by the Turkish occupation state such as using chemical weapons and deportation and forced displacement the al-Milighi said these are state terror '' by all means and standards the Turkish regime could be included in the state terror. The Turkish regime uses all repressive and forcible acts against the Kurdish people that struggles for its rights and to lead a decent life in peace and security and to have all rights that are enshrined in international laws and conventions''.

On the latest campaigns undertaken worldwide calling for the removal of the Kurdistan Workers' Party from the Terrorism List he said ' it is a step in the right direction, ''we hope all freedom seeking people all over the world join these campaigns and the Arab community to be more active and to exert all possible efforts to achieve this goal. It is not strange that the Kurds contributed positively to the Arab culture in all stages of history''.
