Sheikho wonders: Why doors of Başûr open to Turkish intelligence, crossings with Rojava closed?

 The Kurdistan Democratic Party continues its hostile policies towards the aspirations of the Kurdish people and their legitimate struggle to obtain their rights in cooperation with the Turkish occupation. The party closed the Fishkhabur crossing on the 16th of this month and the Al-Walid crossing on the 19th of this month under flimsy pretexts.

 Commenting on this, Ahmed Sheikho, a member of the Executive Board of the Democratic Union Party, said in a statement to our agency that "since the beginning of the July 19 Revolution, the Turkish state has wanted to break the will of the people of Rojava, besieging them by all possible means."

 Sheikho added, "The safest area in Syria is north and east Syria, and when the crossings , it comes with the meaning of besieging it, striking its security and stability."

 Is it just a coincidence that all sides close their crossings and gates with northern and eastern Syria?

 Sheikho noted, "This question must be asked, is it just a coincidence that all  close their crossings and gates with northern and eastern Syria, or is it a well-thought-out planed? The Turkish state continues its violations against the people of the region before the eyes of the world, and the Syrian government also closed its crossings in conjunction with the closure of the Kurdistan Democratic Party its crossings are in the face of the people of the region, under baseless pretexts."

 Regarding the activity of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement at the Fishkhabur crossing, Ahmed Sheikho said, "The activity that the youth carried out at the Semalka crossing was a legitimate one; no one closes its crossings for such an event, demanding to hand over the bodies of their martyrs over the course of a period of time.  Three months, without issuing any statement on the matter by the Kurdistan Democratic Party, the youth here wanted to send their message."

 He pointed out that closing the crossing on the pretext of the youth's effectiveness is a very cheap excuse, and he continued, "In times of war, countries do not close their crossings."

 And a member of the Executive Committee of the Democratic Union Party, Ahmed Sheikho, added that "the KDP has had a clear position since the beginning of the July 19 revolution, Masoud Barzani came out and said that there is no revolution in Rojava."

 Ahmed Sheikho pointed out that during the revolution, this party worked to obstruct the progress of the revolution  to strike at the Autonomous Administratio."

 Sheikho explained that the KDP has allowed the Turkish state to occupy Başûr Kurdistan and wants it to occupy the other parts of Kurdistan, stressing that the closure of the Fishkhabur crossing was in the hands of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, but on the orders of the Turkish state.

 Regarding the positions of both the Autonomous Administration and the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Ahmed Sheikho recalled the events of the referendum in Başûr Kurdistan in 2017, saying, “The KDP did not remember when the Autonomous Administration issued a statement to open all doors and crossings, but Turkey worked at that time to  thwart it.”

 He continued, "When we compare positions with each other, we see who is the party that serves the national cause and who does the opposite , yet they want to defraud the Kurdish people with nationalist slogans."

 Ahmed Sheikho stressed the need for the KDP to review its decisions before it is too late, and said, "We see that Başûr Kurdistan has become an occupied area by the Turkish occupation.  Legitimacy? Why not close it in the face of Turkish intelligence and its soldiers and in the face of Turkish military points in Başûr?, unlike the Guerilla forces."

 Sheikho concluded his speech by saying, "The closure of the crossing is a political reason, and it has nothing to do with the effectiveness of the youth, but rather it is to succumb to the demands of the Turkish state, which directs orders and is implemented by the Kurdistan Democratic Party, because the Turkish state, whenever it faces problems and crises, wants to export it abroad, by creating strife between the Kurdish parties.  Unfortunately, those parties that have become tools to achieve Turkey’s goals are working accordingly, so our people must be aware of the mistakes committed by the Kurdistan Democratic Party, especially our people in Başûr, and pressure them to abandon their policy that serves the interests of the enemy against the Kurdish cause.
