People of Al-Darbasiyah, Council of Martyr's Family in Derik City, and people of the Tirbespî district took part in the sit-in tent in its 82nd day at Semalka border crossing.

The sit-in tent activities are continuing near Semalka border crossing between Rojava and Başûr (South Kurdistan) on the 82nd day to demand hand over of bodies of the martyrs of Khalifan's ambush

The Council of Martyrs’ Families in Al-Jazira Region, since October 5, called for sit-in tent.

Today, Saturday, the Council of Martyrs’ Families in Derek and Tirbespî came to show solidarity with the people of Tel Tamer district, who took turns for three days.

Al-Darbasiyah's people received the shift from Tel Tamer's , where the residents of Zirghan were scheduled to rotate under the tent, but as a result of the Turkish bombing on the district, their shift was postponed to another day.

After the people of al-Darbasiyah arrived at the Semalka gate, they were received by the Martyrs' Families Council and the people of Tel Tamer and Tirbespî amid slogans saluting the sitters.

Saleh Sadiq, member of the Martyrs' Families Council in Derik, said: "Our motto is the resistance is life, we won't take one step back, it is shameful that the crossings are closed in the face of the Kurdish people, while allowing international organizations to exit and enter at any time without any objection from Başûr Kurdistan, the door was closed only to the families of martyrs and patriots." he added.

Sadiq denied "Statements of KDP which alleged that the people are heading to the sit-in tent by force of arms," noting that the youth did not shoot and attack the forces at the Faysh Khabur crossing, but KDP forces hurled stones and fired at them."

"We do not have any dispute with our people in Başûr Kurdistan, because they made huge sacrifices, but officials of the Government of Başûr Kurdistan, headed by the ruling family, stood against the rights of the Kurdish people," he said.

"The revolutionary youth in Başûr when they demanded their rights were pushed into prisons," he added.

Sadiq noted that "the Kurdistan Democratic Party does not have the will and management to defend the rights of the Kurdish people, because it receives its instructions from the occupying country, stressing that the protesters will not back down from their demands until receiving the bodies of the martyrs."

From today, the people of Darbasiyah district will rotate under the sit-in tent.
