ISIS Emir arrested by SDF

Media Office of the SDF announced in a statement released today, that the so-called Mohamed Abd al-Awad known as Reshid.

It was adumbrated that 'Reshid' was assigned with the task of planning and putting into operation a storm scheme of the Hasaka ISIS Prison in the Ghweran Quarter in the city adding many crimes and atrocities were committed by 'Reshid'.

According to the statement Mohamed Mohamed al-Awad joined  the Nusra Front in 2013 then was affiliated ISIS leading the Armoured Division and Tanks battalion in 2014 in the Kobane onslaught taking part as well in tens of invasions and raids in Syria and specifically in NES, assuming many roles and behaving under different personalities. 

The scheme to storm the prison in question was aborted in late November but Mohamed al-Awad himself succeeded to flee away.  AL-Awad was later arrested in a very well planned operation by the Special Units of the Syrian Democratic Forces and support given and assistance rendered by the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS. The ISIS commander admitted to the scheme to storm the prison.

The SDF pledged continuity to proceed fighting ISIS and its cells and to give protection to all people against potential ISIS threats.
