Damascus: Practices of Turkish regime threaten international peace and security

 An official source in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in the Damascus government said that it condemns in the strongest terms the decision issued two days ago by the Turkish Parliament to renew the so-called (authorization granted) to the Turkish regime President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to send military forces to Iraq and Syria for a period of two years.

 The source added, "Recep Tayyip Erdogan's policies have become a direct threat to peace and security in the region and the world, as he continues to launch military attacks on Syrian territory and violate Security Council resolutions related to the situation in Syria, all of which called for respect for the sovereignty, independence, integrity and territorial integrity of Syria."

 The source concluded by saying, "Syria reserves its absolute right, based on the Charter and international law, to defend its independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty over all of this land, and to take all practical and legal measures guaranteed by international legitimacy in order to repel the Turkish aggression and liberate all of Syrian territory."

 Damascus called on the international community to hold this regime accountable for the war crimes and aggression it committed against Syria.
