After his visit to America and Russia, the head of the Justice and Development Party, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, threatened to attack northern and eastern Syria, and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar made similar threats.

The AKP government, which is facing great difficulties and pressures in its internal and foreign policy, targets the achievements of the Kurdish people and the peoples of northern and eastern Syria once again.

'Erdogan's threats are against political recognition of the Kurds'

Journalist Ali Ergin Demirhan attributed the occupation threats on northern and eastern Syria to several reasons, "Erdogan's threats to occupy the areas of the Kurdish and Arab peoples in order for the Kurds not to reach political recognition is an old reaction."

" After the attempted coup in July 2016, he tried to design the internal policy in line with its will through its war policies.  And the wave of occupation that precedes every electoral process creates a chauvinistic atmosphere and takes advantage of the state of emergency and increases its pressure.”He added.

He stated that Erdogan has put the new attacks on his agenda before the elections, which he knows he will not win, and continued, "Many analysts and the people say that this is a practical attempt for Erdogan's interests. There is no doubt that Erdogan needs such  attacks, especially if the elections are held on time. Everyone sees that this government will not win these elections under normal circumstances, and therefore it wants to create a state of national fanaticism so that it can reverse it to the state of emergency, put pressure on the opposition and the Kurdish movement in particular, and provoke chauvinistic and right-wing currents.

'He can't make everything he wants acceptable'

Demirhan made it clear that Erdogan cannot make everything he wants acceptable, so he is trying to say again 'I exist' and continued: "Without a doubt, not every operation and attack can achieve the same result. The existing social conflicts within Turkey have intensified to a point that cannot be covered up by chauvinism.  On the other hand, this threat of attack is taking place because of the legacy of the Turkish Republic that goes beyond Erdogan’s borders. There could also be an attempt to prevent political recognition of the Kurds Erdogan’s previous idea of “blocking a terrorist corridor in southern Turkey” was a political statement aimed at keeping Erdogan’s allies united. Attempts to seek the same need may arise again because the Kurdish movement is in constant contact with Damascus and Moscow. It is engaged in dialogue to obtain its political recognition. Erdogan is trying to keep the enemies of the government within the state or the opposition factions under his control.

Ali Ergin Demirhan also explained that this threat should be evaluated according to the balances of Turkey and the Middle East, in addition to the Idlib file, and continued, "Similar threats have taken place before now as well. Erdogan has involved the Turkish army in border operations and, with the help of jihadists, carried out Euphrates Shield and Olive Branch operations. In the attacks carried out against  Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî. There were agreements between America, Russia and the Turkish state, and at first they targeted Kobani as well. But when the Turkish state wanted to stay in the region, it is now facing a situation in which it loses the places it controls. After Russia launched an air attack on the area in February 2020, it changed  gradually the balances were balanced and the Damascus government regained areas of strategic importance.Although the Turkish army refused to consider it as a follower of al-Qaeda alongside Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, Russia attacked these areas and the air attack resulted in the killing of 34 Turkish soldiers.Erdogan was forced with the new compensation from Putin  to give up this situation. The Turkish army also evacuated some of the observation points and withdrew from them."

'The balance in Idlib annoys Erdogan'

Ali Ergin Demirhan pointed out that the non-compliance with the pledges they gave in Idlib is another party putting pressure on Erdogan, "The Erdogan government is mobilizing a large force in Idlilb. Moscow and Damascus are calling for an end to the presence of the Turkish army in Syria's Idlib. The army's non-withdrawal means the danger of war against the Syrian army backed by Russia. Any new war in Idlib will create a new wave of jihadists and civilians towards Turkey. This will upset the Justice and Development Party and the Nationalist Movement Party in domestic politics."

Demirhan stated that every power on the ground negotiates its military presence.  He explained that Erdogan is in contact with the United States and Russia on the ground and is trying to show that he is the only force of NATO in the region, and said, "Erdogan has previously benefited from the crisis between America and Russia. But the situation will not be like this in light of the new facts. NATO is not obligated to support Turkey in this war. We have seen past predictions fail. The United States of America is the largest power in NATO, on the contrary, when Trump did not enter into such a relationship. This showed that new deceptions can lead to the loss of new arenas."  .

'The goal is for the Kurds not to gain political recognition'

Journalist Ali Ergin Demirhan explained that the goal of the recent threats against northern and eastern Syria is that the Kurdish people there will not get the political recognition.  The political Kurds are against the heritage of the Turkish state. In this puppet, not only Erdogan, but all the dominant factions that talk about the survival of their countries have an idea to come up with a new plan.It is not excluded that new battles and wars will take place in these areas. In a possible attack, Erdogan will not be comfortable with this.  Hadd The conditions in February 2020 were better than they are now for Erdogan Turkey is pursuing a risky strategy in the region The Turkish army after the Russian attack caused great damage to the Syrian army They used their new weapons Undoubtedly Russia is well acquainted with the capabilities of the Turkish army and this could be  Difficult for Turkey. If we present the Kurdish movement in Rojava in the framework of self-protection, this can be evaluated as a warning to Turkey. The people and the opposition in Turkey should move away from this necessary struggle for Erdogan and the opponents.  for kerala.  They should put aside Erdogan's claims that he represents Turkey and show that the interests of the Turkish state are not such an attack."

As Demirhan said, "Turkey's revolutionaries have united against ISIS mercenaries and their supporters in the Kobani resistance. All humanity saw in this resistance that they can fight and resist when the need arises. All components know that there is a political equality for the Kurdish people taking place with the social resistance in the west of the Euphrates. At this stage  The Kurdish people should move away from imposing relationships that make them tools, and determine their path on the basis of self-organization and legitimate self-protection.”

'The common interests of the peoples of the Middle East must be protected'

Ali Ergin Demirhan continued, "If the Kurds develop a position that protects the common interests of the peoples of the Middle East against illegal interference and reactionary attacks, this will be the biggest victory for the Kurdish people. If there was international support during the siege of Kobani, this was because of the legitimate resistance of the Kurdish forces that took place against ISIS."  ".

Demirhan explained that just as the Kobani resistance became a beginning, the possible attack on Tal Rifaat or Idlib would also become a beginning, and said, "The main element here will be the response of the anti-jihadist movements. No attack will be easy at this stage. Violent wars can break out, especially to solve the Idlib issue, not  There can be any easy solution to it. The next practical stage increases the likelihood of conflicts. It is very important for a person to know where to direct his weapon during these conflicts. A person must be careful at this stage and observe all standards and balances."

Journalist Ali Ergin Demirhan added, "The Arab and Kurdish peoples are resisting as parties to dialogue, and the peoples of the Middle East are also resisting. If we do not see this, other alliances may appear before us."
