Turkey continues the crime of demographic change in occupied Afrin

The associations operating under the names of (charities) in the occupied areas, especially in the occupied city of Afrin, are close to completing the construction of religious schools and settlements to change the demographics of the region by direct order of Turkish intelligence.

Since the occupation of Afrin canton, the city of Afrin has witnessed the largest demographic change process in Syria, where more than 300,000 citizens were forcibly displaced from Afrin, and Turkey has settled 400,000 people from mercenary families from various Syrian regions, with the aim of changing the demographic structure and obliterating the features of the region.

Since the early days of the occupation, associations and organizations affiliated with the extremist "Muslim Brotherhood" movement, in Syria, Turkey, the Gulf states, and in Palestine, have begun to provide financial support to associations that work to change the demographics of the occupied territories.

Among the well-known associations that have recently increased their activities are (Beyaz Eller Association, Living in Dignity Association, Al-Atta Association, Arabs 48, Al-Atta Association for Humanitarian Relief, Turkish IHH, Turkish Red Crescent, Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in the State of Kuwait.”

These associations had built about 20 settlement complexes in the villages of the occupied canton of Afrin, and these settlement projects targeted the construction of mosques and Islamic schools in Yazidi villages in particular, including the village of Shadireh and Basofan in the Sherawa district and the Bavilion Arish Qibar and Qatma in the Shara district.

Beyaz Eller Association has completed the construction of a Sharia school in the center of the occupied city of Afrin, in addition to the settlement village of "Basma" in the Yazidi village of Shadireh in Sherawa district.

Turkey is working in various ways to obliterate the features of the city of Afrin and eliminate any symbol indicating that it is a Kurdish city, and it becomes more like Turkish cities, by changing the names of villages and building roads according to Turkish plans, in addition to raising the Turkish flag and Erdogan’s pictures in squares and public places, not to mention the replacement of Syrian IDs in Turkish and prevent the circulation of the Syrian currency in those areas.
