PYD condemns assassination of Bülüt, calls on Başur's KRG to assume its responsibilities

 The General Council of the Democratic Union Party issued a statement regarding the assassination of Bülüt (Shukri Sarhad), a member of the Martyrs' Families Council, in the city of Sulaymaniyah in Southern Kurdistan.

 The statement pointed out that "such inhumane operations fall within the context of the total war pursued by the Turkish regime against the Kurdish people and the defenders and fighters of freedom and democracy and the Kurdistan freedom movement. This only increases our determination to continue the path of struggle and martyrs."

 The statement added: "We in the General Council of the (PYD) condemn in the strongest terms the targeting of the fighter Bülüt, and we demand the government of Başûr Kurdistan to assume its responsibilities towards such violations on its territory by the Turkish intelligence, and we pledge to the martyr that we will continue in his footsteps and the path of freedom that he drew and call upon our Kurdish people.  The democratic forces will stand up and fight all forms of systematic genocide practiced by the Turkish regime.”
