​​​​​​​Derar: new revolutionary style ought to be adopted in Daraa

Syria's Democratic Council co-chair Riyadh Darra was interviewed by ANHA on latest developments in southern Syria namely Daraa that was entered by Syrian government forces for the first time since 2011 after heavy shelling I line with a three pronged ground attack.

Derar said ''Russia works to float the Syrian regime to legitimise its presence in the country, for the Bashar Assad led regime gives legitimacy to the presence by Iran and Russia in Syria, both are contesting but they are not at odds. Derar said that Daraa that had two options should adopt another style of resistance and national support. Hegemony powers allowed the Syrian regime to use force with no regard to law or ethics and the Russians via agreements were able to weaken resisting forces''.

Daraa is one of the four other areas in which the ''de-escalation zones style were put into action. The others being Eastern Ghuta, Idlib and rural Homs and Hama, according to Astana 2017 via which Russian in fellowship with Turkey to control vast areas and to bring into action new realities on the ground in areas run by mercenaries in Homs, Damascus and Hama where they were to choose either remain under a regime supported by Iran and Russia or to displace to Idlib and northern Syria occupied by Turkey after thousands of Kurds were forced to migrate.

Daraa is an important spot via which the Syrian regime wants to return to the Arab fold. Daraa that occupies a strategic place affects demographically and regionally in the whole issue. From the onset there were bids to subjugate Daraa. Syrian government forces displace more than 50 thousand people in the last week, according to local sources.

At the end Derar said '' there should be another revolutionary style adopts peaceful resistance and national support for a democratic change that depends on modern new ways in Daraa and other Syrian territories''. 

''The best style is unanimity to adopt a real citizenship project in Daraa and other areas that embraces a social contract acknowledges rights of all citizens based on a modern and conciliatory agreement according to law. This should be the vision that be depended on by those resisted and that the blood sacrificed for the sake of freedom is the sole way to that'', he said.
