Aram Hanna: we believe in our capabilities to face colonialist schemes

Spokesman for the Syrian Democratic Forces, Aram Hanna, confirmed that the SDF are capable of standing up to colonialist plots that target the region calling on international active powers to play their roles.

In an interview with ANHA Aram Hanna said '' after Manbij was declared liberated on August 15, 2016, Turkish occupation army launched the so-called Euphrates Shield Operation to take control of Jarablus then Azaz in 24 August 2016 as the onset to occupy more Syrian lands.

On the Turkish aspiration on the Syrian soil Hanna noted'' from the very onset Turkish occupation state was aspiring to take more lands and destabilize peace and security in the region that were preserved by the Syrian Democratic Forces, due to mass sacrifices made within combating terror'', we in the SDF are proud of our plural forces and our Syrian identity''.

''The SDF were formed by Kurds, Arabs and Syriacs and other components of the region. We decided to liberate all areas from ISIS mercenaries to find a framework to live peacefully and in dignity, on this the AANES was built that is our belief to the end'', he said.

''Turkish occupation forces backed by mercenaries sought to create a new reality on the ground of demographic change in all areas under control. At the end Hanna called on the international community and all active powers in the Syrian issue to ''to take firm action that meet aspirations of the people of the region. It is unacceptable for Turkey to proceed with these breaches and acts amid international silence'', he said concluding '' we contract regional and global bodies to reveal all these actions committed by Turkey and mercenary groups that we condemn strongly''.
