AANES spokesman: Russia must abide its responsibilities by signed agreements

Luqman Ahmi, spokesman of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, said that Russia does not assume its responsibilities as a guarantor power in the region, and does not abide by the signed armistice agreement.

Turkish occupation state has recently escalated its attacks against north and east Syria and Shengal. The attacks resulted in the killing of a number of civilians, amid silence from the international community. The spokesperson of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Luqman Ahmi, spoke to ANHA agency on the matter and called on the guarantor countries to assume their responsibilities.

He noted that the Turkish state's attacks targeting civilians are not new, and added: "The Turkish state is attacking the common struggle of peoples. So far it has killed many innocent civilians. It has also committed major massacres, especially in Afrin, Serêkaniyê/ Ras Al-Ain and Girê Spî/ Tal-Abyed. Attacks are launched against civilians without discrimination. between women and children.

Luqman Ahmi added: "The Turkish state specifically targets the cities in which different peoples live in security and peace. The goal is to intimidate the people, forcing them to abandon their homes and homes and to flee. But the people realize the reality of these plans, and support the Autonomous Administration and never give up their land."

Luqman Ahmi stated that the Turkish state is trying to avenge ISIS, and said: "The Turkish state opened the borders when ISIS mercenaries occupied the city of Girê Spi, and the Turkish state and ISIS were partners. After the liberation of Girê Spi from ISIS, the Turkish state wanted to avenge ISIS, and the same is happening in Shengal, where ISIS was defeated there as well, and the Turkish state attacks those who sacrifices themselves to defeat ISIS, and the international powers are silent about these attacks in line with their interests."

Luqman Ahmi pointed out that both Russia and the United States of America do not fulfill their responsibilities as guarantor forces, and do not act in accordance with the signed agreements, and said that the people have lost confidence in these two forces. Ahmi noted that both Russia and America do not care about the people, but are primarily concerned with their interests, and noted that if the two countries do not perform their tasks and work to stop the attacks, the people will start organizing activities against them.

Ahmi pointed out that the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria met with the Russians after the recent attacks, and said in this regard: "We did not reach a result in the negotiations. During the negotiation period, the attacks did not stop. Russia did not make any statements. We hope that Russia will assume its responsibilities and perform its tasks." The war in the region does not serve anyone's interest, but if the war reaches our doors, we will also defend our land and our people."

Luqman Ahmi noted that the main goal of the attacks is to eliminate the Democratic Autonomous Administration, and continued, "Our people must rally around the AANES, because it is the future of our people, and the struggle must be escalated, and vigilance must be given to malicious propaganda. And not to trust only the statements of official institutions."
